Next Gen Kia Telluride Coming Soon to OKC | Bob Moore Kia

Since its debut in 2019, the Telluride has been a revelation for the Kia brand. The three-row SUV delivered a near-luxury cabin with plenty of cargo space and a sharp design, but at an MSRP that didn’t feel too out of range for families. The mid-size SUV gained critical acclaim almost immediately, winning awards from critics like Car and Driver for delivering excellence at every turn. The Telluride has won multiple spots on Car and Driver’s 10 Best list since its debut, and it’s proven to be just as popular among families. Kia isn’t satisfied resting on past laurels, though, and they’re set to release the second generation of the Kia SUV soon. While information on the next-generation Kia Telluride is still sparse, we can connect some dots so you know what to expect from the 2nd-gen Telluride. New Kia Telluride Hybrid Powertrain

The Telluride is a mechanical twin to the Hyundai Palisade, which will release its next-gen SUV in 2026. While Kia hasn’t spilled too many details about the Kia Telluride yet, we can look at the Hyundai SUV as the roadmap. We expect the Kia Telluride to unveil a new hybrid powertrain in 2027, which should grab most of the headlines. If the Telluride follows the Palisade, expect the Hybrid Telluride to get a 2.5-liter gas engine and a pair of motors, with an output totaling 329 horsepower, a significant increase over where the Telluride currently sits. The standard engine is likely to be a 3.5-liter V-6. We’ll update our website with fuel efficiency ratings and performance as soon as we have more information. 

What we Know About the 2027 Kia Telluride

The Hybrid powertrain is the most exciting addition for the next-generation Telluride, but changes don’t stop there. While the Kia will continue to sport a boxier silhouette, it receives an updated look that makes it look more like the Kia EV9, one of the most attractive EV SUVs on the market. The interior is also set to receive a fresh update, though we can’t say what kind of changes it’s expected to get. Kia is also set to deliver some more off-road ability with the new Telluride. We expect them to release the new Kia Telluride X-Pro for 2027, which should add some new off-road features that include all-terrain tires and other amenities, though we have yet to see what sort of changes the off-road Telluride will bring.

Next Gen Kia Telluride Release Date
