2026 Kia K4 Hatchback Coming Soon to Oklahoma City

The Kia K4 has recently served as an entry point to Kia’s brand, offering plenty of value in a crowded segment. For 2026, Kia broadens the K4’s lineup with a second body style: the Kia K4 Hatchback. Kia’s hatchback follows the tried-and-true formula set up by models like the Honda Civic and Volkswagen Golf, offering a pleasant driving experience with plenty of space in the rear for those who need to fit bulkier items, such as bikes, strollers, or tents. The K4 should be very recognizable for folks familiar with the base K4, as it should share powertrains, trim levels, and features with the base sedan. It’ll house much more cargo space, but it should also be much shorter, measuring 11 inches shorter than the base K4. While details and pricing are still unconfirmed for Kia’s newest nameplate, we’ll highlight everything we know about the K4 Hatch, from the fuel economy to the technology package. 2026 Kia K4 Hatchback Specs and Powertrains
The K4 Hatchback is set to carry the same powertrains as the base K4 sedan. You’ll find most models come with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, making 147 horsepower. It pairs with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and front-wheel drive. While we find this powertrain competent, the K4 is at its best when equipped with the optional turbo 1.6-liter that makes 190 horses. This powertrain is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a multi-link rear suspension. We don’t have confirmed fuel economy numbers for the K4 Hatchback yet, but we would expect it to be pretty close to the base sedan, which gets 30 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway. New Kia K4 Hatchback Trim Levels and Features
The primary reason to purchase the new Kia Hatchback is the increased cargo space. The sedan offers 15 cubic feet of trunk space, while the Hatchback provides 22 cubic feet. That expands to 59 cubic feet when the rear row is folded. The Hatchback body also allows for more space in the rear row, amounting to class-leading rear headroom and legroom. The K4 Hatchback should follow the trim options you’ll find in the base sedan, as outlined below:
- 2026 Kia K4 LX Hatchback
- 2026 Kia K4 LXS Hatchback
- 2026 Kia K4 EX Hatchback
- 2026 Kia K4 GT-Line Hatchback
- 2026 Kia K4 GT-Line Turbo Hatchback
The new K4 offers a range of premium features, including an ultra-wide sunroof, a Harmon Kardon audio system, heated and ventilated seats, and SynTex leather. We’ll know more about the features of the new K4 as we approach its release. To learn more in the interim, visit our Kia dealership near Norman.
2026 K4 Hatchback Technology
The K4’s setup includes a single 12.3-inch infotainment display, while the top trim levels feature a second 12.3-inch display positioned behind the steering wheel, housing the digital gauge. There’s a third screen that rests between the other two, which is used for climate control. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard. Standard driver assistance features include automated emergency braking, lane keeping, and pedestrian detection. There are additional available features, including an evasive steering assist feature and adaptive cruise control with lane centering. Visit our Kia dealer in OKC to learn more!
