The base Sorento Hybrid has a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine supplemented by an electric motor that makes 227 horsepower. It features a six-speed automatic transmission and FWD or AWD. The plug-in hybrid offers the same engine, but a more potent electric engine increases horsepower to 261 horses. The PHEV has standard AWD and the same transmission.
